Handel's Messiah, Charles Schulz creation and Bill Melendez animation. Presented as a Christmas card to my youtube friends. This musical performance is the Bob Jones University Oratorio and Orchestra from November 1981, of which, I had the privilege of being a participant.
Luke
2 1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cæsar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judæa, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. 16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

That is a well done video. I love Handel. My son is a Linus...thumb and blanket...Ugh!
Heheh I did, yes.
The Millenial Kingdom is before the Feast Day of Atonement(Judgment Day) and the Feast of Tabernacles(Christ's Wedding).
The WORD is refined 7 times over! this will have complete fullfilment in That Day. Amen
Amen The WORD! the Law was fullfilled, and these are all shadows of things YET TO COME!!!
AMEN AMEN
That would make the Millennium the Feast of Tabernacles, the final covenant to be completed.
Indeed, come quickly :)
I'm afraid we may still have a few more years tho.
Come quickly Feast of Trumpets!
True, the fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles has been delayed by the rejection of Messiah by His own, which is why His birth would correspond to the feast of tabernacles, marking the time that He came to "tabernacle among us" but was "cut off" (Dan. 9:26)
That would place His birth around September and October (Tishri). Thus making it likely that Messiah was conceived in late December (Kislev).
Non-essential, but interesting. And I don't think a Passover birth fits the feast system.
Actually, the Feast of Tabernacles has not been fulfilled yet. That will happen after the millenial kingdom.
Christ, so far has only fulfilled the 1st four feasts -Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits and Feast of weeks/Pentecost.
The next feast Christ will fulfill will be the 'Feast of Trumpets' at his second coming.
I wholeheartedly agree. I was a tenor in the chorus of this production. Thank you for the comment and I hope school is going well for you. How's that mission trip coming along?
Wow! thank you! this is awesome. you are so good at making videos! Charlie Brown Christmas is my absolute favorite Christmas show, mainly because it has the real Christmas story in it. and go Bob Jones! the messiah sounded awesome. what part did you have in making that?
Actually, it is likely he was born at the Feast of Tabernacles, which speaks of Jesus as the Tabernacle who "dwelt among us" (John 1:15).
Each major event in the life of Christ is picture in feasts and prophecy. His death was at Passover. But his birth was most likely at the Feast of Tabernacles which would mean he was concieved near December 25th.
Winter Solstice aka ChristMASS was celebrated way before the birth of Christ. I see no problems if Christians celebrate that day for Christ tho.
In reality, he was likely born during the Passover.
Your comment brings to mind Schroeder's comment in this very cartoon when he states, "WHADDA YA MEAN BEETHOVEN WASN'T SO GREAT???"
I understand if you mean it likely wasn't Dec. 25th but to say Christ was not born on CHRISTmas doesn't make sense. It's the celebration of CHRIST's birth!
Even tho Christ was not born on Christmas, his message is very loud and clear.
Thank you for this video. It was beautiful :)
