I wouldn't confuse this with the original -which I love - but this is a very pretty version.
Good Job, Eddie P.
Hi hal1955allen, Thanks for tuning in and for your comment. I have to admit I'm not quite sure I totally understand your comment, so feel free to elaborate - if you feel like it! Thanks again for tuning in! Eddie
I am not Frank But he has the women in my life down !
That is Frank Sinatra apparently Eddie Pirrera is trying to fool people into believing he's singing this Frank Sinatra song. I have the original song and it is note for note exactly the same this is Frank Sinatra singing this song.
Why Eddie Pirrera is claiming to be the vocalist in the song is beyond me.I'm guessing he's trying to hit the million mark as he stated and is willing to do anything to get to that number.

Hi BigSupremeDaddy, Thanks for tuning in! I say thanks because watching my view counter go up has been a truly wonderful thing as I approach the 1-Million mark! And so I'd like to say thank you for helping me reach such an awesome milestone - and - for "following along!" At this rate I'll be at a Million views before you know it! PS: I've written you a very special note that simply doesn't fit in the 500 character limit set by Youtube; you'll find it in your inbox. Thanks again and enjoy! Eddie
Hi Marcus Sorrentino, My reply is rather lengthy and so it's actually 4-replies in one. Eddie
If you had actually read my original reply you would have noticed that I was extremely civil to NakedMile2000. He then repeated his initial rude commentary and for a second time called me "dishonest" and added to that "liar. He's not the 1st viewer to make a negative comment and I'm quite sure he won't be the last. I'm sorry that you choose to side with someone so ill-mannered but of course that is your choice. I make no apologies for posting a video that some have mistaken for the real thing.
Comments like the one that follows from Jasmyne make comments like yours and especially the rude ones from NakedMile2000's irrelevant! A dying Sinatra fan didn't seem to care that it wasn't the original - and that's surely good enough for me! So should you decide to reply with more words like "Shady" and that "I want to trick people" - know this - after 5years I have no intentions of changing a single thing! Now you can read Jasmyne's comment -- Enjoy!
Jasmyne has made a comment on "IT WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR":
My Dad passed away Nov 3, 2010 at age 86. In his last days I would play his era songs for him on my iPhone. During your rendition he would hold onto my iPhone close to him. He loved it and didn't care it wasn't the original. Eddie, I thank you for being a comfort to him!
Hi again NakedMile2000, I took the time to explain myself (In detail) and see no reason to change anything in regard to my video, but your opinion is noted. Thanks again for tuning in! Eddie
I can see where you're coming from and appreciate your comment, but I'm sorry to say that I can't quite agree with your assertion that I'm intentionally misleading people. When I created my tribute to Sinatra it was literally one of the very first things I posted on Youtube. I never thought to add the word "cover" because I thought it would be obvious that it was a cover. My intent was to simply pay homage to my favorite singer, and not to fool anyone into thinking they were listening to Frank.
I've been a professional singer for a lot of years now, and all throughout my career I've been told that I sound like: Barry Manilow, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffett, Gordon Lightfoot, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, and most recently Frank Sinatra. I'm not an impersonator by any stretch and have never claimed to be! But I've always had the ability to somehow capture (at least some of) the "vocal essence" of the artist whose song I'm singing at the moment.
So for me, using my "Live" recording of "It was a very good year" was a natural and simply my way of personalizing my tribute to my favorite singer - Frank Sinatra! Never in my wildest dreams did I think that so many people would tune in, and for the most part, have such wonderful things to say. To this day I'm still amazed! I'm sorry that you think I'm being "dishonest" because my love of this music comes straight from my heart! And I can assure you there's nothing at all dishonest about that!
Hi 60BHA, Thanks for tuning in and for the "absolutely fantastic" comment / compliment! I'm so glad you liked what you saw and especially what you heard in my video. I will always continue to do my very best when it comes to singing this great music! Thanks again for tuning in! Eddie
I'd say you were doing more than just your best!...That was/is absolutely fantastic! Thank you.
Hi clouddancer3107, Thanks! As I've mentioned (very recently) to quite a few viewers. I am a professional singer and when I decided to create my tribute to Sinatra I also decided that it would be more special if I were to sing it myself - and so I did! I don't consider myself to be doing an imitation but more a styilization. It's a very high honor to be compared to one of the greatest singers of all time so I'd like to thank you very much for tuning in and for your wonderful compliment! Eddie
OMG, I thought this was Frank Sinatra singing....Wow, Mr Pirrera!!!!!!!!! Sooooooo Cooooooolll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Th ank you for sharing this!!!!!!!!
Hi Lucas Peralta, Thank you so very much for your "amazing" comment / compliment! For any singer (especially me) to be compared to Sinatra is a compliment beyond words. Frank recorded somewhere around 2500 songs in his 60 year career, but I think this song is without doubt one of his all time best! I truly love singing this one and I'm very pleased that you liked my vocal rendition of it! Thanks again for tuning in and for the wonderful compliment! Eddie
oh boy!! what a song!! and you dude!! sing like frank!! amazing!!
