Lupe Fiasco - Streets On Fire
Death is on the tip of her tongue and dangers at the tip of her fingers
Streets
Are
On
Fire
To-
Night
Death is on the tip of her tongue and dangers at the tip of her fingers
Streets
Are
On
Fire
To-
Night
[Verse 1: Lupe]
Disease the virus is spreading in all directions
No safe zone no cure and no protection
No symptoms to find or signs of an infection
No vaccines remedies and no corrections
Quarantines the dreams and cut off our connections
Don't let em in not a friend not a reflection
Everybody's got it and want you to have it next and
Don't accept em if you wanna stay as an exception
No pill
Can heal
The ill of this
Sickness some are still in doubt of it's existence
Some call it forgiveness and some call it the vengeance
Some say it's an exit and some say it's an entrance
The poor say the rich have the cure
The rich say the poor are the source
Revolutionaries say it's psychological war
Invented by the press
Just to have something to report
Some say the first case came from a maternity ward
Some say a morgue, some say the skies, some say the floor
Whores say the nuns, nuns say the whores
And everybody is sure
The scientists said it only infects the mind
The little boy said it only infects the girls
The Preacher man said it's gonna kill off the soul
A bum said it's gonna kill the whole wide world
[Chorus: Matthew]
Death is on the tip of her tongue and dangers at the tip of her fingers
Streets
Are
On
Fire
To-
Night
Death is on the tip of her tongue and dangers at the tip of her fingers
Streets
Are
On
Fire
To-
Night
[Verse 2: Lupe]
Believe some say the neon signs
Might allow speakers repeating
And everything is fine
A subtle silence
Could demolish the troubled conscious
Of a compass with no knowledge
And every freedom denied
Every dream is designed and broadcasted
From the masters to the masses
From the antennas on top of the trine
As far as the receiving planet during a panic is shorted
It reports back everything in your mind
Everything is lying
Everything is dying
Everything is a rule
And everything is a crime
Everything was healed
And everything rewinds
And new weather burn a feathers off everything's line
[Matthew]
And she likes it
And she loves it
[Lupe]
The savage
The madness
The bad shit
The lavish
The fastness
To clashes the ashes
To ashes everything in to twine
My femme fatale my darling fongoling angel
Once caught her changing her batteries in her halo
Receipt for her wings and everything that she paid for
And the address to the factory where they made those
The scientist says she all inside mind
The little boy said "What happened to all the girls?"
The preacher man says she gonna kill off the souls
The dope boy said it's the whole wide world
[Chorus: Matthew]
Death is on the tip of her tongue and dangers at the tip of her fingers
Streets
Are
On
Fire
To-
Night
Death is on the tip of her tongue and dangers at the tip of her fingers
Streets
Are
On
Fire
To-
Night

I kinda feel like this song is about Alice from Resident Evil :l
y does this only have 8000 views this should have millions
lupe is awsome
that's not lupe in the beginning. it's mathew santos singing.
Lupe Fiasco is AMAZING <3
his next album is 3 cds an 40 songs an then hes retiring to make childrens books
0:00- 0:44 lyrics are missing this segment of the lyrics is crucial to know if we wish to decide what is lupe really eluding to.
;o hes a lyrical god :O is he really quitting btw?:'(
Hes talking about AIDS. The chorus says death is on the tip of her tongue and dangers at the tip of fingers, meaning she will die but she can get more people infected. It shows that along with the NWO psychological war.
I don't know... It's definetly about the streets, but this song is TOOO damn deep... At one point I thought I knew, but there are to many subjects in this 4-5 minutes of song... Very haunting as well. If it weren't for Go baby at the end of the CD, I'd still be having nightmares. This man is the illest, and I'd love to see Lil wayne or soulja boy top this... YEAH RIGHT...
This song is rather interesting to me it seems he's talking about aids; then he reach the second verse and it seems he eludes to the NWO psychological war. If you want positive media listen to this guy.
Hey thats exactly what i was thinkin man- this song is about illuminati
In this song, I see a grim future with some psycho devil chick that only wants to see the destruction of the world through viruses, governments, war, comets, and other ways humans can kill each other.
I dunno. My opinion, like it or not.
Let the song mean what it does to you...... The song expresses emotion, accept it rather then classify it..
Like i said, yall dont read books and dont know what the fuck is going on. He talks about an America where some event has caused rioting, quarantine, and eventual martial law. Despite the fact that we KNOW something is wrong we remain ASLEEP because we look to the media to keep us informed and trust whatever The Business suits say. AIDS? please. AIDS is old, and didnt kill enough people. He means a new pandemic to bring about NWO. But like i said, yall dumb
This song on hit with Matthew he sing the hell out of this song.
" The Streets" is the main idea of the song but the root of what leads to The Streets could be a deeper meaning held behind the song
Wrong. Its about the character " The Streets" as describe furthur more through out the album you raggedy bitch.
Kick ass song do the damn thing lupe
yall dumb, the song is about the illuminati agenda aka the new world order and all the things that are occuring as we speak. if you cant see that then obviously your ASLEEP
the song isn't about aids...its about the total effect of "The Streets" have done to the world. Disease is just part of it.
It's a catch-all. Obviously, AIDS is the main metaphor of verse 1, but there is a deeper meaning.
When you think about the virus, it can mean any number of things like death, racism, ignorance, hatred, etc...
lupe killed it
madd good song
Yeah I get where ur coming from but lupe does say "the Poor say the rich have the Cure. The rich say that there the source"(you know with like Africa and South America where aids spread really fast because they cant afford protection) And then another line is "the Boys say its only affects the girls." (Its a proven fact that girls gets aids easier and more often then boys) great song but i think the message behind the whole thing is Aids like Kilerofiots said below.
this song is not about aids. well its about every thing the streets have done drugs blasphemy hurt pain. if you my attention to the words at the vary beggin it says all the evil things the streets have done then he says 'she stands there smiling' its basically about every thing. you get what im bassically sayin?
