So I can call him and he'll give me freedom from turkeys like you?
I hate auto correct. I meant stroping compound.
Do you use spray stepping compound or the stropman type?
Don't you have some sanctuary to go, to instead of pissing off satanists and others.
Now do you use the cloth stropp then the leather one for a total of 100 round trips? I just got one of these and you vids help alot.
Thanks for the tips! This type of shaving has become a dying art form unfortunately. I want to start shaving in this fashion. Really great video, thanks!
I recently got a DOVO Prima Rindleder strop and was wondering if I should use the smooth side or the rough side to strop.
Hes talks about it in the video.
HAHAHAHAHAHAH
Strop cut @ 3:28.
Thanks for this, I had no idea what to do with this, i tested it by lightly dragging it along a peice of nearby paper and the tissue i wiped it with, since this is the first time it's been sharpened. Is there any more specific way to test it you'd recommend?
Depends on the blade I think. Mine came with me having to strop it, some might come done.
ohhh this is how to do it. my strop has so many cuts in it LOL im so dumb
how often do you do this?
I bought a Pride Cutlery straight razor set that included a strop. After realizing it was junk and with alittle research I bought a Dovo. Will I need to purchase another strop? The one I have seems decent but I'm just unsure. Also, is the strop paste necessary?
Really just the weight of the blade is sufficient?
Should the entire blade lay on the strop or angel it just a bit so it's just the edge of the razor?
You need to get a few shaves in before you strop, and not strop that much. You're over doing it. A good lather and the angle of the hold are just as, if not more, important than the sharpness of the blade.
Is world peace too much to ask?
Hello I just brought a set of seven straight razors over the past week I have been using one a day . The problem is sharping the blade I have watch you videos ( very very good) but still my face is not as soft as if I used a disposable I cannot get that clean shave. I am thinking is it because the razor are new and need to be broken in ?. I strop about fifty time both side of the strop. Any help would be gratefull recieved
all the best frank
Recently was given a work master straight razor , I'm wondering if you can give me some advice on how to disinfect and what precautions should I take since its vintage. Thanks!
I have a strop with a side that looks like yours and a very soft dark brown leather side too. Whats it used for?
Would it be okey to strop before every shave?
