In My opinion this is classic Sonic Youth
What's the name of the venue where they played this show? Just curious, I live in Milan.
Yes. Or at least similar; look into Glenn Branca and The Swans, as well. This band and these other musicians were part of the No Wave scene (late 1970's in NY) whose purpose was to deconstruct. :-)))
Yes. Or at least similar, look into Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, Mars, DNA, James Chance and Contortions. It's all awesome.
crowd = dead indeed, just like in paris, i was sitting in the back, was too late to go up on front to get close to the stage, but everybody was just being stupid there, i was thinking: i would get crazy if i was so close, dumb french idiots..
the crowd is dead. this may just be noise.. but it's beautiful noise.
i don't think so!
this is just NOISE, right?
I love this kind of music, it's raw and free, too bad everyone else in my bands hates this music, they just thinks it's 'noise'
Wow! This has to be the oldest SY video I've ever seen.
I don't know where you got this but thanks!
they opened their concert in gothenburg at the wayoutwest festival this summer with burning spear
They couldnt do a lot of stuff they used to,, because all of their equipment was stolen in 99. They had some unique stuff that they couldnt recreate.
That's it, my good man!
I'm not afraid to say I'm scared,
in my head I'm deep in prayer,
I love the speed, I trust the fear,
the music comes,
the burning spear.
shame the bass isnt as prominant as on the EP itself
ok, obviously ur deaf cos theres more good melody in 1 sy song than in some bands entire catalouge. How about Teenage Riot, catchyest song ever, cross the breeze has like the best chord progression ive ever herd...
