The funeral of veteran vocalist and musician Narada Disasekara will take place at the Talapathpitiya burial grounds on Saturday.
His remains are lying at his residence at No. 21 A, Wetakeiyawala, Talapathpitiya. Narada Disasekara was 71 years at the time of his death. The two songs he rendered for the film Ranmuthu Duwa in 1962 , Pipi Pipi Renu Natana and the other Galana Gangakai Jeevithe a duet with Nanda Malani, were very much popular. He was also honoured with the Sarasaviya Award in 1962 as the best male vocalist for his contributions to this film.

ඇ මරිකාවේ වසන මා මේ නම සෙව්වේ ඇමරිකාවට පැමිණ අවුරුදු 30කට පසුවයි. ඒ දිනය වන අද හරියටම ඔහුගේ මරණයේ පළමුවන සංවත්සරයයි . ඔහු මිය ගිය පුවත මා දැන සිටියේ නෑ.
