My attempt at possibly Metallica's cheesiest song pre-2003 - "Hit the Lights".
I've got quite a few Metallica songs with isolated tracks and I'm just going through them and having some fun. I did more my own thing for this one.

Those high notes you can hit by pushing on your breakpoint and singing it at forte. That's how I used to do it when I had a breakpoint.

Yeah, my screams turn to Balck Dahlia if I push that high. Zen of Screaming is okay... it helped slightly with warming up, but I'd be lying if I said it's got all it takes to make you into a good screamer, far from it.

I use an AKG C 2000 B mic and record with Logic Pro 8. All I put on my voice is some EQ, Premium Reverb and some compression.
Don't forget James actually does mild screaming on this song, and many of Kill 'Em All's tracks!
I'm referring to the unintentional cheese that is St. Anger (I meant 2003). More specifically, lines like, "Fran-tic-tic-tic-tock", which sound as if an eighth grader penned them.

Wow... I didn't expect it to be this good.. vocal covers are usually something I stay away from but you owned it... the only thing was James' voice was a lot higher but can't fault you there.
