If you can't get into UVA or William & Mary, try somewhere else. Perhaps it is just the size of the school that attracts so many leeches (lazy, poorly qualified professors and administrators who blatantly do nothing but live off the fat of the system).
I have multiple degrees and have been to a lot of public universities (as a life-long student). I have to say that out of all the places I have been, VCU is certainly the worst. I have no reservations making that statement. The professors are generally lazy (doing nothing but reading verbatim from publisher Powerpoint slides, using textbook test bank tests, and being rude if you attempt to ask them questions), the administrators could care less (often enjoying lavish vacations at student exp)
